Winter restocks and shop updates at Devinah Cosmetics

If we were sitting at my kitchen table right now, this is exactly what I would tell you. Our huge Black Friday event hit one month after our 10 year small shop anniversary, and you did not play around. Carts were full, shelves were cleared, and the studio looked like a crime scene made of pigment and shipping labels.

We pushed as hard as we could before the sale to pour, press, and sleeve as many shadows as possible. Some products had to be quietly tucked away and hidden from the shop because there was no way we could get them ready in time. Others had to wait because of the tariff price spike on certain pigments, which you can read more about in this post: Tariffs And Restocks Update.

  • Black Friday cleared out more inventory than we expected.
  • Some favorites were held back due to time or tariff costs.
  • Winter restocks are coming, and I will show you what is next.

What Happened After Black Friday

Almost everything that was live on the site either sold out or was hanging on by a thread. When that happens, it looks exciting on the front end, but behind the scenes it means I am staring at trays, pigment jars, and a very long restock list wondering where to start first.

A few products were never even allowed out to play. If we knew we could not pour, press, and sleeve them in time, they stayed hidden so you were not fighting a losing battle with a sold out button. I would rather keep something off the site than tease it when there is no realistic way to ship it during a high volume sale.

Tariffs, Pigments, And The Hard Choices

The other piece of this puzzle is tariffs. Some of the pigments I use have jumped in cost in a way that still makes my eye twitch a little. For those, I had to pause and make some hard choices instead of rushing into a reorder that did not make sense for a small two person studio.

If you want the full breakdown, I wrote about it here: Tariffs And Restocks Update. That post walks through what changed, what it means for restocks, and why a few shades need a little extra time to return.

Mother Of The Groom Season

Right in the middle of all of this, life did that thing where it reminded me I am not only a business owner. This December, our youngest son married his forever, and we packed up as the Mother and Father of the Groom and traveled back to California.

When you run a tiny studio, travel is not just a fun break. It also means the pigment kitchen lights are off for a bit and production has to pause. I was still mentally sorting restock lists on the drive, but physically, we were in family mode. No pressing pans in wedding guest clothes.

Winter Restocks: What Happens Next

Now that we are back home, shipments are starting to roll in and the studio is about to get loud again. We will be pouring and pressing through the holiday season to bring in a proper Winter Restock.

Picture this with me for a second. Trays of fresh pans, jars of pigment lined up, hot cocoa on the desk, the same three Christmas songs on repeat, and me quietly wishing for a white winter while I press another batch of sparkly chaos into pans for you.

Some restocks will be easy wins. Core favorites and shades that are not affected by tariff drama will be first in line. Others, especially those made with the more expensive pigments, may need a little extra time as we watch costs and plan out smart reorders.

If there is a specific shade or product you are stalking, make sure you are using the "Notify Me" email on that product page.

You will find it inside the product description on sold out items. Add your email there and Shopify will send you a heads up as soon as that item is restocked. It also helps me see which items you are asking for the most.

I always want you to feel informed, not left in the dark hitting refresh on a product page that is quietly waiting on pigment. If you take a second to add your email to that notification box, you are giving yourself a shortcut and giving me a little data to work with.
