🌈 A Year in Color – Reflecting on 2018
A look back at the palettes, ideas, and bold moves that colored one of Devinah’s most creative years.
Wait... what??? 2018 slipped by in a blink. It was a year of experimentation, laughter, and an endless chase for the next shimmer that made us gasp. Looking back, it might’ve been one of the most pivotal years in our history — full of gutsy launches and fearless color play.
It all began with a bit of mischief — our April Fools’ “Blue Betch” palette. A playful dupe inspired by Tarte’s color story, but crafted entirely from our own singles. It started as a joke and ended up a fan-favorite.
Then came Pink Icing — soft mattes and glowing shimmers in pink and purple hues that had our community begging for more. It was the start of our deep love affair with those moody, romantic tones.
Summer saw the rise of Anodize, our molten metal masterpiece. Bronze, copper, and liquid shimmer — it became our love letter to metallics and all things reflective.
And then, to close the year, Secret Diaries — a palette that felt like a confession in color. Berries, olives, mystery. A story told in shimmer and smoke. It became a permanent part of our line, and a cornerstone of our creative evolution.
2018 wasn’t just about makeup. It was about building the foundation for what Devinah would become — bold, unapologetic, and full of heart.
