The Strawberry Shortcake Pajama Pants That Brought My Childhood Back

I was born in 77, so I basically grew up with Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, The Puffles, Poochi and Teddy Ruxpin. But out of all those nostalgic toys, there has never been another one that stuck in my scent memory like Strawberry Shortcake.

When I saw these Strawberry Shortcake velour pajama pants at Walmart, I could almost smell her. No, the pajamas are not scented, do not worry. It is just that the character art looks so close to the original I grew up with that my brain went straight back to childhood. Instant memory unlock. Instant cart.

These are honestly my favorite pajama pants I currently own. First, because of the way they feel. I sleep so cozy in these and the velour feels extra nice on freshly shaved legs. Second, because I have not worn or owned any Strawberry Shortcake clothing since the classic nightgown days. You know the ones. Scratchy, full of static, clinging in ten different directions. These pants hit every soft spot I have. Nostalgia, cute art, comfort and under 10 dollars. It felt like seeing a piece of my childhood hanging on a modern rack. I did not even think about it. I just grabbed my size and kept it moving.

How They Feel And Fit

The velour is plush and soft without feeling heavy. They are warm but not suffocating. The waistband is comfortable and the logo detail gives it a fun touch. The pockets are a win for me because I always end up carrying my phone, lip balm or some random little thing from room to room.

They are perfect for sleeping, lounging through a lazy weekend, or curling up on the couch to binge a show. They are also great for those nights when you want to feel cozy but still a little cute and colorful.
